Mission:
The Animal Control Officer (ACO) is responsible for responding to complaints about, or problems with, all nuisance dogs and cats, including the investigation of animal complaints, dog bite investigations and vicious animal complaints. The ACO also works with the Police Department to respond to complaints concerning potential rabid wild life.
All calls that are emergencies and require immediate attention should be made to the Police Department at (413) 269-0100 ext. 109. The ACO should be contacted for situations and inquiries that do not require immediate attention. Alternate Phone information: (413) 269-6873.
