MINUTES
Members Present: Patrick Barrett, Ernie Hood, Laurie Nikituk, Roberta Sarnacki, Anita Weinstein, Jane Gleason, Jo Ann Austin.
Guests: Carol Blakeslee, Clayton Chaffee, Larry Gould, Don Hawley, Vic Hrychvich, Andy Pyenson.
Call to Order: Jo Ann Austin called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.
Reorganization of School Committee: Election of Officers was held.
Motion: To nominate Laurie Nikituk as School Committee Chairperson. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Anita Weinstein. Voted all in favor.
Motion: To nominate Pat Barrett as School Committee Vice Chair. Moved Laurie Nikituk, Seconded Roberta Sarnacki. Voted all in favor.
Motion: To nominate Jane Gleason as School Committee Secretary. Moved Laurie Nikituk, Seconded Anita Weinstein. Voted all in favor.
Approval of Minutes of Meeting #229: The Minutes of Meeting #229 were approved as submitted. Moved Anita Weinstein, Seconded Ernie Hood. Voted Unanimous.
Roof Project Update: Larry Gould provided an update on the status of the roof project. He has identified the problems leading to the leaks that occurred this winter in the area over the ramp. These areas have been opened up, repaired, corrected and re-shingled. The School Committee and Titan Roofing have proposed extending the labor warranty from 10 to 12 years rather than opening up areas that are presently not leaking for inspection. The start date for that warranty will be October 1, 2008.
Motion: To enter Executive Session for the expressed purpose of discussing legal issues. We will reconvene in General Session only to adjourn. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Anita Weinstein. Roll Call Vote: Patrick Barrett-yes, Ernie Hood-yes, Laurie Nikituk-yes, Roberta Sarnacki-yes, Anita Weinstein-yes.
Motion: To adjourn the meeting at 9:15 PM. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Roberta Sarnacki. Voted Unanimous.
