MINUTES
Members Present: Patrick Barrett, Ernie Hood, Laurie Nikituk, Laura Rogers-Castro, John Skrip, Roberta Sarnacki, Jane Gleason, Jo Ann Austin.
Guests: Carol Blakeslee.
Call to Order: Laurie Nikituk called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM.
Approval of Minutes of Meeting #224: The Minutes of Meeting #224 were accepted as submitted. Moved Laura Rogers-Castro, Seconded John Skrip. Voted Unanimous.
Approval of Minutes of Executive Session: The Executive Session Minutes were accepted as submitted. Moved Laura Rogers-Castro, Seconded John Skrip. Voted Unanimous.
FY09 Budget Proposal: Jane Gleason presented the first proposal for the FY09 Budget. Discussion and questions followed regarding changes in the grant funding that has supported our preschool program.
The date for the Joint Budget Hearing was set for Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 7:00 PM. We will have an additional school committee meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 6:30 to review another draft of our FY09 Budget.
DOE Comprehensive Review: Superintendent Austin indicated that the Comprehensive Review was completed last week. We received a very favorable response from the evaluator. There are a few items missing that will be provided in a report and we will then develop a corrective action plan to address these items.
Facilities Use Policy: Superintendent Austin indicated that we have had several requests for use of the school facility. Discussion was held on the process of how to facilitate building access security and supervision.
Motion: To enter Executive Session for the expressed purpose of discussing legal and negotiation issues. We will reconvene in General Session only to adjourn. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Roberta Sarnacki. Roll Call Vote: Patrick Barrett-yes, Ernie Hood-yes, Laurie Nikituk-yes, Laura Rogers-Castro-yes, John Skrip-yes, Roberta Sarnacki-yes.
Motion: To adjourn the meeting at 9:25 PM. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Roberta Sarnacki. Voted Unanimous.

Members Present: Patrick Barrett, Ernie Hood, Laurie Nikituk, John Skrip, Anita Weinstein, Jane Gleason, Jo Ann Austin.
Call to Order: Laurie Nikituk called the meeting to order at 6:45 PM.
FY09 Budget Proposal: Jane Gleason presented a revised FY09 Budget Proposal. Discussion and questions followed regarding possible changes in draft #2, additional information being compiled for the Budget Hearing presentation.
Motion: To adjourn the meeting at 8:15 PM. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded John Skrip. Voted Unanimous.
