MINUTES
Members Present: Pat Barrett, Ernie Hood, Laurie Nikituk, Roberta Sarnacki, Anita Weinstein, Jane Gleason, Jo Ann Austin.
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Laurie Nikituk at 7:00 PM
Approval of Minutes of Meeting 238: The Minutes of Meeting #238 were accepted as submitted. Moved Anita Weinstein, Seconded Ernie Hood. Voted Unanimous.
Update on Van Bids: Jane Gleason provided an update on the status of bids for a PK Van. Bids are due March 9, 2009 and will be reviewed at the April meeting.
Update on Principal Search: Jo Ann Austin provided an update on the applications received for the Principal position. The first meeting of the Search Committee will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. She hopes to name a new Principal by June 1st. Discussion followed about candidates, qualifications and salary requirements.
Amending the School Calendar: Discussion was held regarding the need to amend the school calendar by changing March 13th from a professional day to a regular school day due to the additional snow days we have had.
Motion: To amend the 2008-2009 school calendar, changing March 13, 2009 from a professional day to a regular school day. Moved Anita Weinstein, Seconded Ernie Hood. Voted Unanimous.
FY2010 Budget Proposal #2: The Committee reviewed FY2010 Budget Proposal #2 as presented at the Budget Hearing last month. In order to comply with State regulations, it is necessary to accept the School Bond Assessment as it presently stands and reduce the amount at a later date if the refinancing is successful.
Motion: To adopt the budget for Fiscal Year 2010 in the amount of $3,752,826.00. Moved Anita Weinstein, Seconded Ernie Hood. Voted Unanimous.
Motion: To accept the Fiscal Year 2010 School Bond Assessment in the amount of $207,260.00. Moved Ernie Hood, Seconded Anita Weinstein. Voted Unanimous.
Motion: To adjourn the meeting at 7:30 PM. Moved Anita Weinstein, Seconded Ernie Hood. Voted Unanimous.
